Our story began on February 1, 2025, when after a respiratory infection (ARI) suffered a week earlier, my husband's temperature suddenly rose to 30-40 °, a severe headache and seizures appeared. Gennady Valentinovich has suffered from epilepsy for over 15 years, but these seizures were very frequent and different, unlike the previous ones. I called the 103 service twice (on February 1 and February 4, 2025), but he was hospitalized in serious condition only on February 4, 2025 in the 2nd pulmonology department of the 6th city clinical hospital with a working diagnosis of pneumonia. I must note the highest professionalism and medical responsibility of the staff of the pulmonology department, and especially its head - Maria Ivanovna Zhurovich, who in the shortest possible time was able to make the correct diagnosis (herpetic encephalitis), begin treatment and organize a timely transfer to the intensive care unit of the city infectious diseases hospital on 06.02.2025 to continue treatment.
